Dev (Dave) Sawh earned his M.A. in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle, Washington. His qualified areas of practice include Forensic Psychology, Clinical/Counselling Psychology, and Educational/School Psychology. He has experience working with children, teenagers, and adults. Dev is qualified in completing Forensic Assessments, Psycho-Educational Assessments, as well as Capacity Assessments.
Dev is compassionate, yet always willing to ask the tough questions to challenge his clients (or groups) seeking their best interest. Dev’s goal is to empower his clients to overcome any obstacles and achieve their personal goals. He has worked with victims of trauma (including PTSD, sexual violence etc.), marriage counselling, as well as with people with anxiety, depression, or bi-polar disorder.
Dev’s approach is an eclectic approach borrowing from different therapies. Some of the more common approaches he utilizes include Solution-Focus Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Feminist Therapy, as well as Reality Therapy. He is a Registered Psychologist (Practice Permit #3966) in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists and the Psychologist’s Association of Alberta.
